I have been working with people for 20 years, first in social work and then moving into therapy after completing training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in 2008. Since this time I have completed further training on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness.
My areas of special interest are low mood, anxiety, burnout, postnatal distress, step families and grief. I also provide professional supervision.
I have experience in adolescent and adult mental health and Wellbeing services, providing assessments and implementing treatments for a wide range of mental health difficulties.
Relationships are very important to to me and I strive to create a safe space for you to share what is happening for you. We can work together to identify what is most important to you and focus on this. I believe in people developing skills they can use, outside of the therapy session, in order to manage life stressors in a healthy way.
